There are 64 bags to a pallet. A ‘slow’ store will still sell hundreds of pallets of the general purpose (3000psi) concrete each year. Menards has been selling concrete under the Mastercraft label for three years. If there was a quality issue, it’d be well known by now. Menards carries a lot of cheap stuff (some diamonds in the rough mixed in) but also a lot of name brand stuff that's just as good or better than some of the Home Depot stuff. Take for example fasteners: GRK and Spax are both pretty good and I know of a lot of people that swear by and try to go out of their way to use GRK especially. Ok, the Menards kits can give you a an idea of what different types, sizes, styles will run you. The last time I looked at one with what the total costs would be, it was about 3X what the kit was. That was about 5yrs ago, but the ratios should be similar. There can be a lot of hard costs based on site conditions and utility availability. Pros and cons of working for Menards? I’ve been job searching recently and I’m kinda thinking of playing the field. I work at a paint company right now (rhymes with Bherwin Billiams) and everyone is quitting that I actually enjoy working with. What are the pros and cons of your job and if you work in the paint department what’s it like? As a customer, I greatly prefer Menards for building materials - I love driving my truck right onto the yard. Lowes for appliances and lighting. Home Depot for flooring. Menards for everything else (plus it’s the closest). Harbor Freight is my first stop for most tools. I like our Menards but sometimes have a hard time finding items compared to Lowe’s (whose app tells you the specific location of an item). Is there anything similar for Menards or any tips? I can answer most of your questions. If the rebate is running you can purchase online, or at the store. You can place a special order and get the 11%. You can buy a whole house package or any thing as small as a bag of dog treats. There are some items exempt from 11% rebate. strictly speaking menards only owns midwest manufacturing, dakota (which is MM), and australian gold, as far as I know. but we have tons of private labels on products made by other companies or imported products, such as master paws, old mill, patriot, tuscany, plumbworks, barracuda, criterion, performax, masterforce, backyard creations ... Menards is privately owned and works under a completely different business model. They own manufacturing on many of their products, especially building materials. They own and distribute their own concrete, interior and exterior doors, concrete block and patio blocks to name just a few items.
