Four festive adventures from the tv show Dora the Explorer. The main episode is "Daisy, la Quinceanera" which marks the first appearance of Daisy, Dora's cousin, who celebrates her 15th birthday, a milestone in Latin culture.

While referencing the explorer Christopher Columbus, the film is actually a gift for filmmaker Stephanie Barber's friend, the performance artist Theresa Columbus. The short imagistic film is suggesting (or questioning) ever so gently the effects (both positive and negative) that exploring has on that which is being explored. Our most well known Columbus, now so often vilified, here stands in for a more psychological and artistic exploration and the fall out that can occur from that sort of expansionism as well. Like many of Barber's films, the piece itself works almost separately from the implications and sidelong glances of the title and the way it interacts with the (almost passive) images and (often quite dominant) soundtrack.

An evil ice-skating witch has stolen ice skates. Sabrina the Snow Princess tried to get them back, but she accidentally hurt her leg during her practicing against the ice-skating witch. So Dora and Boots must help get back the ice skates by winning in a skating contest.

David Livingstone was born in Blantyre, just outside Glasgow in Scotland. Brought up in a Christian home, he put his trust in Christ as his Saviour at the age of sixteen. He began to pray for and give towards missionary work but soon realised God wanted him to go himself. Having trained as a missionary doctor, he was eventually accepted by the London Missionary Society for work in Africa. He left England for Cape Town in December 1840 and there began what must be one of the greatest pioneering missionary works of modern times. For over 32 years, David preached the Gospel, attended the sick and explored a vast area, seeking new routes whereby future missionaries could reach the Africans with the Gospel. In 1873 David died and his body was carried for 1000 miles to Zanzibar from where it was brought to England. His remains are buried in Westminster Abbey in London.
