There is a difference between Wells Fargo ADVISORS and WellsTrade. WFA is actually an independent fee based advisory service that is associated w Wells Fargo. WellsTrade is their brokerage platform. You can have money w WFA that you manage yourself through WellsTrade but the advisors still get their cut. I work for a local bank and a different branch called me and said Wells Fargo deposited funds for client A into client B’s account. She said the two clients’ account numbers are one digit off from each other and basically, Wells Fargo screwed up.
