UPS scam text messages often mention a “missed” delivery or unpaid shipping fees, and they sometimes include a malicious link that leads to a fake UPS website or payment portal. When targeted by a UPS scam, fraudsters urge you to click a link to track, reschedule, or pay for a delivery. The text includes a link to a fake UPS website and urges victims to reply with the letter «Y» to activate the link. By default, links aren’t tappable if the text is from an unknown sender. These communications will generally ask you for personal information and/or a payment in advance of receiving a package, or may indicate a need to update your account by obtaining personal information or a copy of your UPS invoice. We attempted to deliver your UPS package on June 30th, but were unable to contact you and the delivery could not be completed.
